About Us
Kate Colman Weddings + Events is a full-service wedding and event planning company based in Cochrane, AB and serves Calgary and southern Alberta, southern BC and the Rockies.
Our specialty is logistics, we obsess over the details, plans and contingencies so you don’t have to! We ensure that everything is as you envisioned so that you are able to breathe easy and enjoy every part of your special day. We are committed to ensuring that every element is thoroughly managed and that your wedding day and the planning process is relaxed, stress-free and fun!

About Kate
Kate has been in the hospitality and events industry for over 10 years and has planned over a hundred events and weddings! Her experience as a senior corporate planner for a global company gave her the skills and experience to tackle events of any size. From conferences to galas, events with 10-10,000 attendees, she’s done it all!
After years of corporate planning, Kate opened her own company and now focuses mostly on designing and executing fabulous weddings, whether it’s an intimate elopement or more elaborate affair, she ensures flawless delivery.
Kate is a strong believer in continuous improvement and education and has a BA in International Hospitality and Tourism and has two of the most highly accredited designations in the industry as a Certified Special Events Professional and Certified Meeting Professional.
Originally from BC, Kate grew up on a blueberry farm with a B&B and a multi-generational family trucking business. Suffice to say, hospitality, logistics and entrepreneurship is in her blood!
In addition to being a wedding and event planner, she is a wife to a wonderfully supportive husband and mother to two incredible daughters.
